Title design research: Goldeneye


 



 The first genre I’d like to look at is spy movies. To begin the spy movie I looked at intro was a very well known one. Golden eye was a movie released in 1995 and its opening sequence is very well renown. The camera angles that it uses are mostly mid and long shots. Though the camera angles aren’t what makes it special. Another quirk about the camera is it is in a constant pan that doesn’t stop. Unlike many things it also ends with a fade out. The sound is a ballad made specifically for this intro which permeates this genre. The things that are great about this genre is it is so visually stunning. Due to it being an aura of mystery. It permeates this mystery by maybe showing only silhouettes or blanked out models. Though keeps the dangerous iconography by showing many many guns. This is also the problem with the genre

The Movie Lord of War is one of my favorite Movies ever definitely my favorite war movie. When it comes to Nicholas Cage this is some of his best work and shows how he really can be an amazing actor. Even though as of recent he hasn't been in stride. It scored a 6/10 with average film critics and a 9/10 average with moviegoers. Common CAMS in the movie A lot of the shots in this movie are very uncomfortable it makes you feel weird and bad about what your seeing. Which is a very interesting way to film a movie. This is best seen with its opening sequence life of a bullet in which you take a pov of a bullet as its created and shipped out before it is used to kill a child solider. Common CLAMPS in the movie  The lighting in the movie is all digetic, due to the movie not wanting to seem fake. Editting and whatever rhymes with editing (Editing Blog)

 Today I began the long arduous process of editing. To begin, I had to fix one scene. Initially, I had tried to film the scene in darkness, however, that didn't work out so well. So, to solve this issue, I had decided to try to film in light and then just make it darker in post. While it ended up working out, it definitely took away from the scene a little bit. It is still somewhat noticeable that the scene takes place in bright light, but hopefully, that can be fixed with some more editing. However, this may simply be noticeable to me as the editor and not as noticeable to those seeing it for the first time. But for now, it is serviceable. Past that I began the work of darkening up the extra scenes. Through this, I had learned that I had gone almost exactly on time instead of over or under time with the recording. After that, I began slicing the videos. Slicing the videos in and of itself was a challenge. It took a lot of time and effort. But, I thankfully got it done in the end. ...

Production blog #3

 Today I began filming. We went out to the beach and unfortunately it began raining. So I had to go back into the car and wait for about 2 hours. Once we got out the sand was still wet . We set up the green army men and everything seemed in order. Then we started filming and learned unfortunately that pop it's will not actually explode on wet sand. This made it almost impossible for the pop its to explode. So then we had to deal with that problem. We took a slab of rock and put it under the sand so the pop it's would have more force. No dice still wasn't working. So then we decided to try to just do it on stone. Then realized the pop its actually got wet not allowing them to explode. So then we hiked it to Walmart to get more of them. We got there got out of the car. Went into the store. Looked around. Only to see that they were out of the Pop it's.
